Campagnolo's craftsmanship gives the corkscrew its distinctive and unique character. Every single stage of its production process takes place in Vicenza, in the hands of those who, for years, have used their own experience to create products bearing the Campagnolo name. The quality of the materials and the meticulous finishes accompany the sinuous shapes of the various parts. Each component represents a characteristic feature of the Campagnolo brand. These include the screws that still today are derived from a Super Record chainring from the 1970s, an element that adorned the bicycles of the fantastic cycling legends of the past: Merckx, Indurain, Gimondi. A self-centering telescopic bell positions the spiral exactly in the center of the cork; once the spiral is inserted, the two levers easily and gently extract the cork. This avoids shaking the bottle, which could stir up the typical sediment of aged wines. Furthermore, the corkscrew has been designed so that it is not possible to pierce the bottom of the cork, to prevent cork fragments from falling into the wine.
