Double Square Secure Lock Nipple

Developed for special truing machines, double square nipples are becoming increasingly popular. The nipple surface is not scratched in visible areas during truing from the inside.

Aluminum is the material of choice for higher performance. For this, Sapim has chosen the highest possible aluminum grade (7075 T6) for this type of use. It combines lightness, strength, and corrosion resistance. The anodized surface treatment offers various color possibilities.

Coating
All aluminum nipples are coated. The coating is applied to the thread and the nipple. Friction between the spoke and the nipple and between the rim and the nipple is significantly reduced. The coating also seals the surface, reducing corrosion. This is now standard in Sapim's production.
