Hornet Hatchback/SUV Bike Rack

Our Hornet 1-bike rack is a small-scale revolution. We call it the “World’s Smallest Bike Rack” because it is. The Hornet is by far the most travel-friendly bike rack on the market, but it works just as well for everyday use.

Unlike most other SeaSucker bike racks, the Hornet is a “front wheel on” bike rack. It is designed to mount to the back window of any hatchback, SUV, or minivan using two of SeaSucker’s powerful 4.5” vacuum mounts (120lb pull-strength rated each) to hold the handlebars and hang a bike weighing no more than 35 lbs from the back glass. Plastic ladder straps securely hold road and MTB bars to the vacuum mounts.

As with all SeaSucker bike racks, the pump-action vacuum mounts also enable the user to attach the rack in a matter of seconds, making the Hornet one of the easiest and quickest racks to install. Just pump the two vacuum mounts on the back windshield, cinch the ladder straps around your bars and you’re good to go. And when it’s time to remove it, the Hornet comes off just as quickly and breaks down into its components for storage in its included travel case.

  - Mandatory safety strap that loops around the bike’s head tube and into a sewn-in cam buckle. The strap’s tail has a plastic dowel built into it that, when shut in the rear hatch, secures the strap to the car.
