In 1988, SILCA took note of the burgeoning MTB market in the US and began developing a high-volume pump with a low-pressure gauge to meet the needs of this entirely new bike category.
Dubbed the Terra, it was the first of its kind—a dedicated high-volume, low-pressure pump for larger tires. Now, 34 years later, SILCA reintroduces the Terra concept with exciting new technology that allows it to be not only the world's most refined low-pressure pump but also maintain high-pressure capabilities.

Utilizing a revolutionary non-linear gauge scale technology, the Terra pump employs custom internals to create a gauge that allows for 0.03 bar (0.5 psi) accuracy on the low end of the range, climbing to 0.13 bar (2 psi) accuracy on the high end (8.27 bar [120 psi]). This unique design allows the gauge to have a full 8.27 bar (120 psi) capacity, yet have 50% of the dial cover the 0-2.1 bar (0-30 psi) range.

The Terra maintains SILCA’s famous all-metal construction with a turned ash wood handle but breaks the traditional mold with a unique, lever-actuated chuck based on the design of the award-winning Tattico Mini Pump chuck. This all-metal chuck uses a threaded reversible stopper to switch between Presta and Schrader, and includes an integrated pressure bleed button. The Terra pump displaces 318 cubic centimeters of air with each pump stroke.
