TM-1 Spoke Tension Meter

A properly tensioned wheel is stronger and stays true longer. The TM-1 Spoke Tension Meter is an essential tool for building and truing wheels, diagnosing wheel problems, or building new bikes. The TM-1’s readings can be used to help estimate the relative tension of spokes in a wheel, identifying areas of high or low tension. Using the included printed chart or the Park Tool Wheel Tension App, this measurement can be converted to kilogram-force to calculate the wheel’s total tension and ensure it is at the proper level. The Wheel Tension App also features interactive tools to help visualize and analyze a variety of data based on TM-1 readings. The TM-1 is able to provide accurate kilogram-force readings for almost any bicycle spoke, regardless of material, diameter, or shape. It includes a spoke gauge to quickly determine six of the most common round spoke diameters (additional measuring tools may be needed to determine bladed spoke dimensions). The TM-1 is made in the USA and can be completely rebuilt and recalibrated for reliable lifetime use.
