IMPORTANT:
How to mount absoluteBLACK Oval chainrings to FSA ABS cranks
First, you need to remove the crank from the bike. Once removed, unscrew the 4 bolts holding the two chainrings with a T-30 Torx wrench. Remove the two original chainrings. The asymmetric bolt design will prevent you from mounting the chainrings in the wrong orientation. The bolt holes on the small chainring are recessed, so the bolt heads will sit flush with the chainring surface. These recesses should face you when you mount the bolts.*For Gossamer, place the large chainring on the spider first, then the 4 FSA spacers, and then the small chainring. Tighten with the original FSA bolts.*For SL-K - place the large ring first in the outer position of the spider, then place the small chainring on the inside of the spider. Use the FSA bolt caps and place them from the front into the large ring (all are identical). Tighten with the original FSA bolts.Tighten all four bolts to a torque of about 5-7Nm. Reassemble the crank onto the bike. Absolute Black always recommends using a new chain when installing new chainrings.
When mounting an absoluteBLACK 4-bolt chainring to a 5-bolt crank, leave the hidden bolt hole empty or cover it with waterproof grease. This hole is not important, which is why FSA removed it with the new version of cranks.
