absoluteBLACK Premium Shimano 110/4 bcd oval chainrings are designed for the new Shimano Dura-Ace 9100, Ultegra 8000, and 105 R7000 crank types. Super fast shifting and amazingly smooth pedaling. (They can also be fitted to 9000 and 6800 cranks). This is the most premium oval chainring on the market with scientifically proven performance improvements. Compatible with 10/11spd.
IMPORTANT
*The ramps on the large chainrings are specially configured for combinations: 50/34, 52/36, 52/38, 53/39T*The 34t Premium Series inner chainring is not compatible with power meters that use a circular spider (SRAM Quarq, Power2Max, etc). For those power meters please choose our Silver Series 34t oval inner. *If you wish to use another configuration it will also work, but the shifting will be slower and may require more front derailleur "adjustments" to be acceptable. Remember also that the derailleur can only accept a maximum difference of 16T between 2 chainrings - this is how Shimano and Sram have designed them. *Absolute Black always recommends using a new chain when mounting new chainrings.
Advantages of AbsoluteBlack Road Oval chainrings:
*A unique, one-of-a-kind oval shape that helps you climb easier and faster (Patent Pending).
*More than 15% stiffer than Rotor Qrings due to their thicker 5mm construction.
*Absolute Black's custom 6-point ramp and recess design shifts better than any other brand and model of oval chainring.
*Thinner design provides an excellent strength-to-weight ratio.
*You won't "feel" the oval shape when pedaling.
*Your pedaling action will be smoother.
*Helps reduce knee strain and keeps your legs fresher for longer.
*You'll be able to maintain a better cadence on climbs.
*Reduces the chance of leg cramps.
*You'll reduce chainring changes by at least 15%.
How to adjust the derailleur with absoluteBLACK Road oval chainrings
To make the adjustment, you will need 2mm and 5mm hex keys. Troubleshooting:*If your derailleur overshoots the chain when shifting from the small to the large chainring, it means that your "gap" is greater than 2mm when the chain is on the large chainring (see video). You may need to reduce the gap. It is also possible that the front derailleur is too high compared to what is advised in the video. If your derailleur hesitates when shifting from the small to the large chainring, there may be two problems. The "gap" may be too small (it has to be 2 mm - see video) or your cage is not parallel to the large chainring face.
